Kaylee McKeown has defended her 200m backstroke title in style, clocking a record time of Two minutes and 03.73 seconds. McKeown is also the first swimmer to successfully defend 100m and 200m backstroke titles in the history of the games.
Meanwhile BMX cyclist Saya Sakakibara has secured gold and all of our hearts with a perfect week in the BMX. The 24-year-old won six consecutive races to qualify for the final before blitzing the competition with a time of 34.23. She becomes the first Australian to win Olympic gold in the event.
